Arantxa Rus swung her Wilson Tour BLX tennis racquet to have the best win over her career, defeating world #2 Clijsters to reach the third round of Roland Garros.
The 20 year old lefty has been making great progress through the WTA Tour, winning 6 ITF Circuit titles and reaching her 3rd WTA quarterfinal at Estoril last month. The 2008 Australian Open Junior champion Rus will take on Kirilenko for a spot in the Round of 16.
We caught up with Arantxa to get some insight to this rising star as she answers your Facebook questions.

Rebekah Franklin: Who’s your favorite player of the ATP?
Arantxa: Nadal…I love his fight and his attitude. Fun to watch.
Jordy Corallo: Arantxa, what are your career targets and this year will you return in Palermo?!
Arantxa: My first goal is top 20. But my main focus is getting better every day. I am not sure about Palermo yet 🙂
Antonio Jesús Villarán López: Arantxa, do you know how to speak Spanish?
Arantxa: No. But I am taking classes
Chris Gilbert: How hard is it top make the move from being a top junior to competing on the WTA tour?
Arantxa: The jump to the challengers was ok. Not too hard. But the jump to the WTA events was tougher. It takes time.
Noradeli Caselin Gomez: Your favorite cities to visit?
Arantxa: Barcelona. Beach, shopping, and a beautiful city.
Alvin Lam: You think you can coach me?
Arantxa: Haha. I will stick to playing.
Tennis: Do you prefer grilled or fried fish tacos?
Arantxa: Not a fish taco fan. Usually eat regular taco’s.
