A Florida minute!!!

Dominique and Elise shooting Juice infomercial with Robin

Dominique and Elise shooting Juice infomercial with Robin

So finally, I feel like I have a moment and my wits about me to write a blog!!! 🙂

It’s been a long few weeks on the road, but it definitely is ending on a positive note….I am at home in Indialantic, FL!!! The best part of the trip is today, where I am spending time alone …. went to church at Holy Name of Jesus this morning, getting my work in now and going to hit the beach later this afternoon…. nothing like home sweet home and silence! 🙂

This is the first time in 4 years where I did not step on site at the Sony Ericsson Open and I have to tell you, it feels pretty good. We will see if it effects our overall social media #’s but I sure hope not!! 🙂

Hopefully, you like the videos we have been putting out the last few weeks cause we have tried to bring something completely different and new…..

So let’s talk more about the Juice infomercial! Did you like the Juice informercial parody with Victoria Azarenka?! I am seriously obsessed with infomercials and have always wanted to do one, so Robin and I were able to make it happen…And to have world #1 undefeated player Vika as the spokesperson was awesome!

What is really surprising to me is how many people actually thought we were being real!!! hahaha FYI people, please count the #’s 555-JUICE-ME… that’s too many #’s to be a real phone number…. HEEEELLLLOOOO!!!!! lol

Anyway, Juice infomercial was super fun to shoot with some of our great US juniors Gabby, Bryce, Racquel, Emma and Dominique… all very talented and very funny!!! Watch out for these kids, they will be doing some good stuff in the years to come!! We also brought in some local juniors to “keep it real” with Joe, Elise and Audrey….. these kids were great actors and were awesome….Joe got into it and its fun talking marketing with some uber smart young ones! I really miss working with kids since I stopped teaching, so working with all these kids definitely was a highlight of the past few weeks.

So I did spend two days in Miami for Mardy Fish’s appearance at Tennis Plaza’s Grand Opening in Aventura. We had a great turnout and Mardy definitely got some kids motivated to play!! We had the kids interview Mardy which was quite cute and they asked some great questions. Tennis Plaza also had Mardy sign the wall to commemorate the visit and he wrote “Tennis Plaza and Wilson rock!” … he’s right! haha

One of my favorite parts of the night was when two other brands had their players show up at the same time… I’m a bit competitive, so to see that they did not plan out their appearances as well as we did… well I have to say I take a bit of pride in that… so sue me, I like to do better! 😉

That’s all from FL, off to Chicago in the AM!!

Until later,

Fish reaches career milestone with Wilson BLX

Today Mardy Fish reached a career high #7 on the ATP World Tour.
Since transitioning to Wilson BLX a year and a half ago, Mardy Fish has had his best results, taking home 3 ATP Tour titles, reaching 4 finals, reached the quarterfinals of Wimbledon for the 1st time in his career and most recently, he reached the finals of the ATP Masters Series tournament in Montreal.
“My confidence is at an all time high. Being in good shape and having the right equipment are two big components of that. Players want things to come automatically and with my Wilson Six.One 95 BLX racquet, I feel like I can get in the zone,” said Fish.
Now each time Fish steps onto the hard courts of the US, he is proving that American tennis is alive and well.

Wimbledon- “Manic Monday & MORE GRUNTS?!”

Mardy Fish gets low with his Wilson Six.One 95 BLX tennis racquet

Well, today was certainly full of surprises!

It’s great to see Mardy Fish reach his first Wimbledon quarterfinal and carry the US pride strong as the only American left in the draw.

Feliciano Lopez used his Wilson Pro Open BLX racquet to follow up his win against Roddick by coming back from behind and win in 5 sets against Kubot. I said this in my Tweet, but what a ‘talented & tasty’ match!! Girls, I hope you were watching this one! 😉

On the women’s side, unfortunately, Venus & Serena went down today….have to say it was quite a great effort to reach the 4th round after not competing for 6 months & a year for Serena…shows their strength as competitors….for sure, we will see them back winning tournaments shortly.

Petra Kvitova has made her way through the draw very quietly, but tomorrow will be a tougher test against Pironkova.

It’s great to see Sabine Lisicki in the quarterfinals and back playing the tennis we all know she is capable of playing. She is one of the most fantastic players to work with when at the tournaments and hopefully she will find even more success when she takes on Bartoli…it’ll be a tall challenge.

So as you probably have been hearing, the grunting during the Wimbledon women’s matches has been at the highest levels and definitely a distraction, annoyance or whatever you want to call it!! Yes, as players, we are taught to exhale, so that we hit through our shots, but we are not taught SCREAM on top of our lungs!! These girls take it to another level.

Anyway, so we were at the office today and everyone asks what it’s like to work at Wilson, so thought we would give you an inside look to a typical day at Wilson’s Global Headquarters.

Special thanks to Kari, Vicky, Cassandra, Samera, Erika, Molly, Annie and Carlos for showing us around the Wilson Tennis floor!! 😉

Until later, Tracy
