Day 3- Paris 2011

Wilson Tennis Monarch Skirt
Hey all, It’s 4:50am and I have been up doing email and work since about 1am…I got a solid 2  1/2 hrs of sleep tonight!! 😛 Not sure how long I can keep this up, but we’ve got more work to do!!! 🙂
Today was a super busy day….the suite was rockin as we had Andreas Beck, Petra Martic, Federico Delbonis, Amer Delic, Anne Keothavong, the Bondarenko sisters and many more who stopped by today.
During our player services, we make sure they get the equipment they need as well as get feedback on our products…we have been getting a lot of interest from many players about our tennis apparel….Philipp Kohlscrhreiber, Horia Tecau, Melanie Oudin, Frank Dancevic and Corinna Dentoni are just some of the players wearing our clothing now and will have some fun new editions to our Wilson exclusive team soon!! 🙂
Until then, check out the photos of the new summer apparel collection and what Wilson Exclusive ladies are using at Roland Garros.
Until next time, Tracy

Wilson at Indian Wells

What’s up Wilson followers?!

Well, it’s been a while since we wrote a Tour blog, so here we go!

Let me start off by saying, we are lucky to have some of the nicest players on tour and it is always fun to see players enjoy what they do!

I was in Indian Wells last week and caught up with a lot of our players. We had some great autograph sessions with Alona Bondarenko, Mardy Fish, and Melanie Oudin. Melanie is a great girl and her success has not changed her a bit. She continues to be a super nice to everyone and she deserves the success she’s had and we hope it continues!! We also did a very cool doubles clinic with Rajeev Ram and Eric Butorac as fans got the chance to hit with them on site in Indian Wells. It was funny to see people try to knock Rajeev and Eric off the court…..one guy got extremely excited to try and hit a winnner that he hit the ball over the fence…..yes, over the fence!!! haha

This past week we also launched our new UStream channel where we had a Bethanie Mattek-Sands, Anne Keothavong and Polona Hercog stop by to give us some insight to the tour, talk tennis, random stuff and have some fun answering your questions. Hopefully everyone really enjoyed the interviews and we will have a few more from Miami…..Check out some of the hightlights from IW with the links below. All three girls were awesome and I had a blast interviewing them. Make sure you check out the last minute or so of Polona and I going head to head in a bread eating contest!!! haha Don’t ask! 😛

So Indian Wells is always a popular time for the Tennis Channel to do some bag checks so we had Feliciano Lopez, Petra Martic and a few other players get into the bag check action! You should see them on tv shortly, so stay tuned.

All in all, it was a good trip to IW and now I head back to Chicago before I meet up with the rest of the tour team in Miami!

IW is still rolloing but onto the next project for me…..

We will keep you updated from Miami!!

Bondarenko uses new Wilson BLX racket to take Hobart Title

Alona Bondarenko used her Tour BLX racket to become the 2010 Hobart International Singles Champion

Bondarenko uses New Wilson BLX Racket to take Hobart Title

Using her new Wilson Tour BLX tennis racket, Alona Bondarenko wins her second career WTA Tour Singles title in Hobart.

Bondarenko was in great form this week as she used her aggressive baseline game to defeat Peer in the final and also knocked out top seeded Medina Garrigues in the semis.

“I think I was playing better and better as the tournament went on and I think I finished very well so I’m happy about it.”

With an early season title win under her belt, Bondarenko will take on a qualifier in the first round of the Australian Open.

“My game is feeling good, especially with the new racket,” says Bondarenko. She continued with a smile, “I was hitting the ball well all week and hopefully, this racket brings me some luck in Melbourne Park too!”

Australian Open play starts Monday January 18th

Wilson Tour Team Off to a Good Start in 2010

Wilson Tour Team Off to a Good Start in 2010

Following an outstanding 2009 where Roger Federer and Serena Williams finished atop the ATP and WTA Tour rankings, the Wilson Tour Team is off to a great start in 2010

In her first tournament since May 2008, Justine Henin used her new Wilson Tour BLX racket to reach the finals of Brisbane.

“This was a big step for me. After leaving for so long, to walk out on the court with such a big crowd… it was very emotional,” Henin said. “I can be positive about this tournament, but I still see a lot of things to work on and this week was only the beginning.”

In Auckland, Flavia Pennetta used her Blade 98 racket as she made easy work of this week’s opponents, not dropping a set en route to the finals of the ASB Classic.

In doubles action, Natalie Grandin used her Tour racket as she reached the finals of Auckland doubles with partner Granville.

“It is great to see many of our players have success as they gear up for the Australian Open,” says Massimo Calvelli. “We look forward to watching Justine and our entire team make their mark on tour this year.”

This week:

Serena Williams, Flavia Pennetta, Agnes Szavay, Leonardo Mayer, and Mardy Fish are in action in Sydney.

Alona Bondarenko, Kateryna Bondarenko, Sara Errani, Carla Suarez Navarro and Jelena Dokic are playing in Hobart.

Philipp Kohlschreiber, Thomaz Bellucci and Arnaud Clement take the court in Auckland.
