Filip Krajinovic reaches 1st ATP Tour quarterfinals
“It’s a great feeling to know I can play at this high level ,” says Krajinovic. “It’s going to be a fun to play a big match like this at home. The crowd will be crazy!”
The 18 year old Krajinovic’s quarterfinal opponent will be his fellow countryman, Novak Djokovic. Krajinovic has shown great heart through the tournament as he saved two match points in his first round match and pulled out a tough three setter today against clay court specialist Zeballos.
Krajinovic is no stranger to hard work. He came to the United States at age 14 to train at the IMG Academies in Bradenton, Florida and still trains there when he isn’t traveling the globe.
“Filip is part of the next crop of ATP Tour stars,” said Renaud Vallon, Wilson Tour Manager Europe. “He has international appeal and we are thrilled to have him on the Wilson team. It’s great to see him start to come into his own and we look forward to watching him continue to develop into his talent.”
