Daniel Nestor Claims His 8th Title of the Year in Basel

Using his Wilson [K]Six-One 95 tennis racket, Daniel Nestor and partner Zimonjic beat their rivals, the Bryan Brothers to take the Swiss Indoors doubles title in Basel.

Nestor and Zimonjic defeated the Bryan twins 6-2, 6-3 in just 54 minutes, marking the fifth win in six meetings this year. They also improved to 8-3 lifetime against the Bryans and now own a 51-14 match record on the season.

Nestor and Zimonjic picked up 500 ATP World Tour Rankings points and split €71,500 in prize money for winning their eighth ATP World Tour title of the year.

“We were pretty much on fire from the beginning, especially Nenad he played great,” said Nestor.  “I kind of followed him and played well myself.  It is always great playing against the Bryans; they always bring out the best in us.”

The 37-year-old Nestor captured his third title in Basel and his 63rd career doubles title – the most among active players.

Daniel Nestor will be in action in Paris this week.
