Wilson Players Sorana Cirstea and Paul-Henri Mathieu Meet Fans before US Open

On Friday August 28th at 3pm, Sorana Cirstea will be at Mason’s Tennis Mart in New York City and on Saturday August 29th at 4pm Paul-Henri Mathieu will be at NYC Racquet Sports to sign autographs, talk to fans and giveaway a brand new Wilson [K]Factor racket.

“New York has some of the greatest tennis fans in the world and having the opportunity to meet some of them at Mason’s Tennis Mart is a nice way to kick off the Open,” says Sorana Cirstea.

As one of the hottest players on tour, Sorana Cirstea reached a career high #23 on the WTA Tour earlier this year as she defeated 4th seed Jankovic, 21st seed Cornet and 10th seed Wozniacki en route her 1st Grand Slam Quarterfinal at Roland Garros. 19 year old Sorana already owns one singles title and two doubles titles in her young career.

On Saturday August 29th at 4pm, Paul-Henri Mathieu will be visiting the new NYC Racquet Sports store in Herald Square.

“It’ll be a fun day at NYC Racquet,” said Paul-Henri Mathieu. “New York is a great sports city and I always look forward to spending time here.”

Paul-Henri Mathieu reached a career high #12 on the ATP Tour last summer and is currently ranked #31 on the ATP Tour.

Paul-Henri owns four career ATP Tour singles titles and one doubles title.

“Sorana and Paul-Henri are crowd favorites. This is a great opportunity for people to come out and meet world class athletes,” says Wilson Tour Director Massimo Calvelli. “We all remember our first encounter with a pro athlete, so hopefully Sorana and Paul Henri can inspire a few future tennis players.”

All attendees will also have the opportunity to win a brand new Wilson [K]Factor racket.
