Wilson Players at Wimbledon- Day 1 of Week 2

Roger Federer has been in good form as he aims for the record 15th Grand Slam. In what is considered to be the tougher side of the draw, Roger has smoothly played his way through the draw defeating Lu, Garcia-Lopez, and [K]Blade 98 player Philipp Kohlschreiber en route to the 4th round. Using his [K]Six-One Tour, Roger will take on French Open Finalist Soderling.

The USA has three in the last 16 of the Women’s draw, thanks to Wilson Tour Team players Venus Williams, Serena Willams, and 17-year-old qualifier from Marietta, Georgia, Melanie Oudin.

In one of the most anticipated matches of the tournament, Venus Williams will use her [K]Blade Team to take on Ivanovic. Their head-to-head record is 5-1 in 29-year-old Venus’s favor and their only meeting on grass was at Wimbledon in the 2007 semi-finals, which Venus won in straight sets, before going on to win The Championships.

Using her [K]Blade Team, Serena Williams has dispatched of all challengers in straight sets to reach Round of 16. Serena now takes on the unseeded Hantuchova. Serena goes with confidence, as she owns a 6-1 win-loss record against Hantuchova.

In her first main draw appearance, Melanie Oudin finds herself in the second week of the prestigious Championships. On Saturday, Oudin ousted 6th seed Jelena Jankovic 6-7, 7-5, 6-2 to reach her first Grand Slam Round of 16. Melanie will use her [K]Blade Tour to yet again, try to pull the upset, as she takes on 11th seed Radwanska.

The all Wilson doubles teams of Alla Kudryavtseva and Monica Niculescu, Iveta Benesova and Barbora Zahlavova, Max Mirnyi and Andy Ram, Simon Aspelin and Paul Hanley, Bruno Soares and Kevin Ullyett, Prakrash Amritraj and Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi will take the courts for 3rd round doubles action at the All England Club on Monday.

Wilson On the Rise players Kristina Mladenovic, Laura Robson, Daniel Berta, Ajla Tomljanovic, Pablo Carreno-Busta, and Alexandros-Ferdinandos Georgoudas can be seen in 1st round Junior Wimbledon play.
