The Return of Stéphane Robert

Most of the people and medias are focusing on Roger and Rafa’s rivaly but we like to put some light on what is happening on backcourts during the qualification event.

One of the best story we heard of these days is: “THE RETURN OF STEPHANE ROBERT”

This french fighter had a career best at ATP #164 in 2004 then he has been stopped in his development by several problems which led him to stop tennis and thus lost his ranking.

Last year, while he was chilling in the Roland Garros alley during the open as a spectator he came to me and said: “listen, I didn’t practice for months, I’m not an athlete anymore and I have no ATP ranking but I’ll play this tournament next year…shake my hand I’ll get this done”.

I looked at him and smiled thinking it was too much of a challenge to achieve such a come back starting from zero.

he trained hard, played futures qualies and guess what …he entered the 2009 French Open qualies.

He won his first round and got 4 match points in his second round yesterday night…good time for us to say that we are proud of him and that we know the value of what he did. See his face below:
