Inside Wilson Next Gen…………Henrik Wiersholm

Henrik Wiersholm and his Wilson Blade 98 BLX

Henrik Wiersholm was victorious at the world famous Les Petits As junior tournament! Using his Wilson Blade 98 tennis racket, Henrik defeated fellow Wilson player Bogdan Borza , 6-2, 5-7, 6-3 in the final.

We caught up with the upcoming American player and asked him a few questions to get to know him a bit better. Here’s what Henrik had to say.

What was the coolest thing about playing Les Petits As?

Henrik:  You are treated like a professional (they provide lodging, transportation, player’s lounge etc.) and you play in front of large crowds – and kids ask for autographs.

Who is your tennis idol?

Henrik:  Roger Federer

If you could play a doubles match w/ anyone dead or alive, who would be the 3 people?

Henrik:  Roger Federer, John McEnroe and Bob Bryan

What is the best song to get pumped before a match?

Henrik:  Black and Yellow

What is the worst trouble you have ever gotten into?

Henrik:  A couple of years ago I threw my racquet into the back fence.  Unfortunately – or in retrospect, fortunately – my coach, Dan Willman, saw it and immediately told me to pack my gear and leave.  I was not allowed to come back for a few of days – and then only after I finished a ton of sprints.

What do you love about your Wilson racket?
Henrik:  The Blade has feel and at the same time has quite a bit of pop.
