Juan Martin Del Potro Reaches a Career High #4 on the ATP World Tour

This week Juan Martin Del Potro reached a career high #4 on the ATP World Tour.

“Juan Martin’s meteoric rise to the top of men’s tennis has been nothing less than superb,” says Antoine Ballon, Global Marketing Director. “Juan Martin’s game continues to impress and we look forward to watching him play with his new Pro Tour BLX racket at the Australian Open.”

2009 was an outstanding year for the young Argentine, as he captured three titles, including his first Grand Slam crown. Del Potro’s US Open win made him the first player to beat Nadal and Federer in a Grand Slam tournament and the first Argentine to capture US Open since Vilas in 1977.  He also reached his first ATP World Tour Masters 1000 final and closed the season by reaching the final of Barclays ATP World Tour Finals in London. Del Potro finished the year as the youngest player in the Top 10.

“2009 was a great year for me,” says Del Potro. “I can’t wait to play next week and debut my new racket at the Australian Open, the Pro Tour BLX. It looks cool and feels amazing!”

Del Potro will take the court equipped with his new Wilson Pro Tour BLX tennis racket at the Australian Open starting Monday Jan.18th
